I have passivated mmo in a matter of hours before, mmo dies quickly in sulfate/sulfuric acid sols due IMHO to super oxidation and cyanide sols
passivated it quickly as well, bromine dissolves the exposed titanium making white tendrils that hang from cut untreated edges, though I haven't
carried out bromate production long enough to passivate any anodes yet.
I'm interested in platinum plating titanium as a precursor to lead dioxide I was reading a paper I found on Google that uses a thin pt flash plate as
an adherent sealing/bonding layer for porous lead dioxide its an 11 page PDF can't seem to find the link again though... sorry
