The SW-CNTs is not such a problem anymore. Many, many years ago, I had ordered MW-CNTs from these guys:

The problem is not that, I will not be able to investigate this work anytime soon for complete lack of any equipment and financial challenges.
One would also need a glove box, lithium hydride, a flushed tube furnace and miscellaneous other gear. I will leave this to the pro's at uni's or the
likes of Magpie
You're right though, experimenting with it would be significantly better than modelling it... and more fun!
