That's pretty interesting! I have a few ideas where acetylene would be useful and I've been wanting to make something more interesting than melting
nails with my arc furnace.

Give it a go battoussai114, CaC2 is near impossible to come by around me and there's no way I'm paying chemical suppliers prices for high purity. I
found it very rewarding to be able to make this at home and it produces enough acetylene for my needs
