I have a static IP but it changes upon request or if Comcast wants to. However I'm also in the process of getting an onsite server I could seed
from. I'm not clear why static would be necessary. I seed music from my laptop whenever its on through Frostwire. I could use Frostwire to seed the
backup as well. I could seed via frost from one of the desktops that are always on.
