Wouldn't some vacuum grease work? I definitely have some joints that leak, but a gob or two of dow-corning vacuum grease seems to help.

By the way, if you buy dow-corning vacuum grease off ebay, be prepared to get a tube of dupont grease. I guess its the same thing, but caught me off guard. lol.
