Crosslinking of oleic acid chains

i'm trying to make a crosslinked polymer of sucrose oleate, but the polymerization isnt working well. I have tried benzoyl peroxide but itds not efficient. Does anyone know of any specific drier for oleic acid?.lor any non toxic crosslinker used in biodegradable materials?Do lemme know.
Also, any thoughts on the efficiency of the Rast's method of molecular weight determination?
