Nitrocellulose won't ignite..
My nitrocellulose just gets burnt.. I tested the normal cotton too, and this burned quite nicely. I am quite new to energetics, so this might be
stupid question, but could it have something to do with the pH being too low or high? I think my nitrocellulose was still quite acidic, even after the
washings.. Also, my nitrate salt didn't dissolve in all the sulfruic acid, so there is some nitrate salt of the outside of the cotton, which even
after scraping off, still doesn't make the cotton ignite..

Make sure to clean residue correctly, use medium/warm water and work it more.
Also make sure its very completely dry before testing.

Your nitrocellulose is not dry. The looks a like dry between fingers, but isnt. There is about 10 - 15 % water. You set hot airgun on 50 Celsia on 30
minute for 1g NC distance 5 cm.....

Could you post some pictures? That might help.
The nitrate salt should dissolve completely. Which nitrate is it?
