Salicylaldehyde + Zn

What is the results of heating salicylaldehyde in the presence of zinc dust. Im asking this question because I’m getting two separate answers the first one is it will get reduced and drop the hydroxyl group effectively being converted to benzaldehyde the same thing happens with the conversion of phenol to benzene. The other answer that I’m finding is it somehow gets converted to toluene but with proper stoichiometry shouldn’t it become benzaldehyde or could it do either depending on the amounts of zinc used.
