Question: How to remove capric acid (caprate) from estrenes?
Hello everyone, happy to have found this forum! My name is Lynn.
I was wondering if anyone could give me ideas/suggestions on how,
in general, to remove capric acid (caprate) from estrenes?

What are estrenes?
I assume you meant estrone?
Or some other estrogen related hormone derivative probably, right?
Remove capric acid from it? Like, deesterification?
By hydrolysing the ester with a strong base and removing the formed caprate salt of course.
I wonder what for?
Guess that you don't go by the name Lynn for all your life then?
If that is the case, I condemn amateur manipulations on the hormonal system without doctors supervision, especially that sort, and thats why I kept
the answer rather general.
Because when I read about amateurs wanting to "play" around with such hormones, I think of something like this: doi: 10.2105/AJPH.2013.301348
And I think thats very serious and dangerous and shouldn't be encouraged at all.
