Buchi RE-121 drive unit
Hi all,
I managed to get my hands on a nice RE-121 unit and would like to maintain and clean the drive unit thoroughly. However while trying to open the hub
unit I got stuck. Even with the manual at hand I'm stuck when trying to remove the front plate (10049) and get acces to the interior. Any help
welcome!

just guessing ...
unscrew (4x) 10137
and unscrew (1x) 00631 ?
00631 could be threadlocked or held by 00568
in which case the helical/worm drive would have to be removed
by unscrewing (2x) 18738,
to allow the front plate assembly with 11140 to be removed

^^^ What he said......... It has been a long time since I had one of these apart, but IIRC, 00631 is a push in rubber seal.
Once the four screws come out, the plate should come off.
[EDIT] - I have a vague recollection of being very afraid and overly cautious, and of removing the motor first before accessing the internals behind
the plate...... In hindsight, I'm not sure if I needed too, but it made the whole surgery easier and less stressful.

hey guys, thanks for the reply. Did all the suggested as an educated guess, but without succes. The plate only slightly moves (rotationally) within
the 18722 housing after removing all screws, rubbers etc, but in no way moves outward (as in the pic). I thought there might be a trick to unlocking
it. Ill keep trying...Cheers, Bas
