Pink Quartz
So I ordered some quartz tubing, this listing on eBay - 2pcs Quartz Glass Capillary Tube Outer Diameter 16mm ID 12mm Length 150mm #A4R3 from
fanty_store and got something that has a pink tint to it. It's obvious at the ends but even the tubing itself you can tell it has some sort of faint
impurity in it. And the outsides had minor scuff marks and something weird going on if you hold it up to the light.

Your link to fanty_store is hard to pick up do you have a direct link ? Looks like a perfect example of Chinese manufacturing QC.

Here's all the sizes they offer. I was just wondering what the trace element(s) are in the tubing.

According to Wikipedia, your main suspects would be Ti, Fe, and/or Mn.
Personally, I think it looks rather nice, but I suppose that doesn't matter if the glass turns out to be weaker or less chemically resistant somehow.

I purchased a couple 4" x ~0.5" quartz tube a while ago, it was orange and specifically to block UV. Some aquarium thing I believe. Most the time
you want to pass the UV, but I guess some times that is not the plan.

The seller is no longer registered and a product name search turned up nothing. It was back in 2015

I would suspect it is still the 99%+ purity of what most quartz glassware is and those "contaminates" are from the natural quartz color and I'd doubt
that it would hurt the tubes. I've seen pink quarts MUCH darker than that, though it was in its natural state so it wouldn't be as clear as having
been melted and moulded. I'd guess that these are alright as far as the color issue, but those markings when held to the light, IDK what that is.

Scuff marks or striations are common, almost a feature of fused quarts tubing.
Any glass worker will tell you that the stuff is very different from regular glasses and as a single compound it has a much narrower plastic
temperature range, it melts suddenly and so has to be extruded under higher pressure below the melting point through dies to make tubing and does not
flow smooth after extrusion like glass tubing will.
Rose quarts is pretty and the amount of contaminants that colour gemstones are usually very small. The raw material has been purified by
crystallisation after all.
Purple quarts though is I think a result of other contaminants being irradiated.
Then there is the thing with small Radiohalos due to alpha radiation at the ends of microscopic cracks in some minerals.

I've heard that Fe or Ni will do that. Never seen it though.

I have some large chunks of rose quartz. It is an attractive crystal.
