Chemists of the EU! Unite!
Tired of government restrictions, soon to be introduced, I made a petition to EU parliment to amend the restrictions. Sign if you want:
https://secure.avaaz.org/pl/petition/The_EU_parliment_and_the_council_Amending_the_regulations_concerning_explosives_precursors/?cjQJYjb (petition
no longer works)
Maybe this won't work. But hey. I can do that. We still have freedom of speech.
I'm putting it in general chemistry because of a recent topic on government restrictions (so that more people see it).
Edit: Ended it, as idea is kinda stupid and somebody could thinkof me as a terrorist.

In most countries, standing up = mowed down.
This is probably the origin of the term 'grass roots', also 'underground', especially when applied to politics.

In my experience, lobbying to persuade the government to amend legislation doesn't work when you are on the opposing side unless you approach it from
the angle that the legislation is completely unacceptable. I'm not saying it is impossible, but generally, you need to be well-connected and
supporting the legislation for any efforts to lobby to amend to bear any fruit.
(Note that political and parliamentary systems don't work quite the same in the U.S. as in the E.U.)
