Gas-Phase Free-Radical Halogenation

Has anyone here tried a gas phase free radical halogenation in a home lab set up, say with commercial propane or butane and chlorine? If so, how did it go? What equipment did you need?

Would that be the same as reacting chlorine gas with sulphur for example ?

Not quite sure. I'm currently devising a ground glass setup for the process, and I'll post a sketch of it once I figure it out.

Here's a very rough sketch of what I think would be a good apparatus:

Also, I found this interesting tidbit: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Free-radical_halogenation

Right at the bottom of the article, what looks to be a very easy free-radical bromination.

I know nothing much, but surely the pressures are important ?

e.g. if your Halgoen, Alkane and Products are all lighter than air, then a V type arrangement may be better, then there's the reaction producing pressure (maybe) etc etc.
