Electrolysy redox of organic reactions

Hi guys ,

I'm just staring out and I'm trying to understand the reaction mechanisms with regards to electrolysy of organic reactions. Nicodem made a comment in another thread that Thf can have an oxygen molecule attached in the presence of water and Br2 under electrolysis conditions. It seems like a simple example to use so was wondering if someone can help me understand the mechanisms at play. Not actually interested in doing the experiment just understanding it.
