You the User!

Well, I started a topic awhile ago about this, which I’ve since deleted due to it being outdated.

Basically, I’d like to know what YOU the user would like to see available for download on the FTP.

No limitations, no file size limits, no limits on any kind of file. That means anything like music, games, videos, warez, you name it – anything goes.

I personally will be running a side FTP for games (ISO’s only). But if the game FTP takes up too much baud and strips SMF user’s of decent downloads, it’ll be scrapped.

Science Madness Forum users will have priority over all other users.

The only thing I suggest that might benefit users on slower connections would be to split large files into smaller segments.

An ISO usually gets split into 14.3mb sections, and everything else is normally in one piece. However – if it’s a large file say over 300mb then split it up into manageable segments.

Below I will suggest a few of the things that I would be interested in being uploaded if people have access to them, or can provide them.

Operating Systems – Microsoft Operating System’s mainly, unless I make a special request.

Games – Mainly FPS games like Red Faction, Soldier Of Fortune, Project IGI, and Command & Conquer.

Music – Mainly dance music of a VERY specific kind.

Videos – Anything that gives you “food for thought” or anything entertaining. I’m not really a fan of comedy’s or spoof films. Unless it’s an absolute fantastic film, then exceptions will be made!

Warez – I have specific needs when it comes to applications, mainly web development / graphics / source code development applications.

Those are the thing’s that I’d like to leech, sure. But that’s just me and this FTP is going to be put online for YOU.

So YOU tell me, what you’d like to see on available for download!

Hi Eliteforum!

Well, of course first of all, any possible literature available about chemistry and what this Forum is about.

For me it'd be great to have music or dance music but from the 80's, that could be a good start.

Thanks for all this and your effort to us.

Regards!

I can help there

Pet Shop Boys, Alphaville, Erasure, New Order, Heaven 17... I have plenty of dance, New Wave, and synthpop music from the 80s. And if we're lucky a little bird might make them appear on Eliteforum's server.

I have tons of mp3s on my mess of a harddrive that I listed here via dir*.mp3/a/s>mp3_list.txt (the backslash isn't showing after the dir). Btw, some of my favorite FTP sites are ftp://garbo.uwasa.fi/ and ftp://x2ftp.oulu.fi/ .
