How to think and develop novel methods in syn. org. Chem.
As a PhD student of Organic Chemistry... you should have a "novel idea." You should propose something new and work on it for publication purpose.
Could anyone suggest the tips for the development of new ideas in methodology area of synthetic organic chemistry?

Wow. We've been asked to do people's homework here many times before. But the homework of a PhD student? That must be a first!
I suggest you browse the 'organics' section of the forum (where this also belongs) for ideas.

Most PhD candidates have research directors. Maybe he's in the early BA stage (or should I say "BS") of his "candidacy."
