Where are we? (Part I?)

Now I realize this can be a sensitive topic, why with many of us not wanting to get too detailed with our personal information. This is an effort to roughly discern how close together (or far apart) the community is. In any case, the data is aggregated so we won't know specifics. Now, I apologize in advance to non-US members, many of whom are prolific contributors, for the particular focus on the US. Please feel free to post your rough location.

I figured a rougher poll would encourage more members to vote. The zeemap seems to me a lot more specific and it can be a bit intimidating. And that other poll, while more inclusive, seems to me a bit too rough of an approximation.

LOL split the USA into 5 parts but lump the remaining 95% of the world together as one.

Well, it's only Part I. Presumably, others will be covered in further detail.

That's what I wanted to do :) This poll is in part a response to this thread: http://www.sciencemadness.org/talk/viewthread.php?tid=17714 Hence the focus on the US.

Most sciencemadness members aren't USA citizens

USA citizens make up for about 4% of the world population. The fact "American" (English, sort of) is the main language used on the internet doesn't make the USA the only country in the world.
