Li2CO3 slows down KNO3+Al very strongly
I tried KNO3 + Al powder and that is very quick.
Here a clip which displays its very fast behavior.

However, adding an equal amount of Li2CO3 to make a pink color slows down the rxn considerably and cannot sustain without burner. Less Li2CO3 does not make the flame pink.
