Official Pan Piercing Contest
Goal:
Make a hole in a metal pan using a chemical method
Rules:
- The pan must be in metal
- The method must use no or very little heating
- The larger the hole the better
Prize:
Pride
I will start. In my post on NaOH i scraped a pan (See the picture) and unionised told me that strong alkali base attacked aluminium, so i put a smal layer of water in the
bottom of my pan and saturated it with NaOH. I was able to hear it react (little bubling, H<sub>2</sub> getting out of the solution) and
the solution started to get blurry. I let it sit overnigh and this morning when i wake up the pan looked like this:

BTW: As anyone a use for the AlNaO<sub>2</sub> formed?

There, they work now, it's because they had more than 100k so the gardian script deleted them. I sized them so they are smaller
