Vintage bottle labeled methiolate
Any use in chemistry?
It’s a reddish orange colored liquid almost full, I thinks this is the same stuff my parents used to put on scratches and scrapes.

What you're talking about is thimerosal, sometimes known as "MeRthiolate" (note the capital R)
I guess some company dropped the R on the label?
That's probably what it is.
