Vacuum Control
I am looking to purchase a vacuum control to assist with SPD and rotovaping. Any suggestions?

You can achieve fine vacuum control with a small bleed valve near the vacuum source and an appropriate gauge. For tighter control and less monitoring,
you can buy a vacuum regulator for about $170.

I hope it's okay to hijack the thread, I'm in the same position as binkhash, just got my Rotovap and need something to keep the vacuum in check. I do
like the idea with the ball valve construction, but I read that it reduces the life span of the pump, compared to an actual vacuum regulator. Is that
true? If so, to what an extent?
I paid about 500 bucks for my pump, not sure if an extra 200 for the regulator is worth it.
