You might elaborate as to what you mean by a "boult" ??
Suction flasks of various sizes are often auctioned on LabX

Come to that, what's an asbestos gauge?
By the way, TYPING IN CAPITALS makes you look like you are not clever enough to press the shift lock key.

Hey, come on, a mistake in the spelling isn't a real problem. Totally failing to explain what you are on about is a problem.

Hi @Mental_sam,
With "Asbestos Gauge", I am assuming that you are looking for Asbestos string fibre. This is hard to find, due to the health risks involved and many
other much less hazardous materials that can be used to replace it. But in old electric heater elements, it was used for electric isolation of the
heater coil(s). It was also used in central heating systems of buildings and houses as heat resistant seals of the furnace and piping system. Also gas
heaters used this as seal material between the heater window (from which the heat was irradiated in the form of Infrared radiation) and heater
housing. The intention was to seal of leaks of Carbon Dioxide, Carbon Monoxide and Water vapor into the heated area, so that it may be guided off via
the chimney.
Wouldn't Glass wool, Stone wool or Mica fibre be an easier accessible and safer source to work with ?
I haven't seen them in years, but they used to sell these wire net reinforced soda bottles. By inserting a Cork in which a buchner Funnel fits (or an
extension nipple which can be connected to the Funnel), and in the same Cork an outlet hole for the vacuum suction port, you will have a DIY Buchner
suction flask.
BoulĀ“ter = A long, stout fishing line to which many hooks are attached. I am still trying to figure this one out !
Regards,
Lambda.
