85-2A Stirrer
I bought an 85-2 stirrer off of eBay a while back and while I thought it had potential, I was incredibly disappointed with its heating capacity... it
couldn't even boil water or provide enough heat to boil much of anything besides ether. Also, the maximum temperature setting is 100 C.
I've noticed that Deschem is now selling an 85-2A stirrer, which appears to be an upgraded model, and I am curious about it. Has anyone bought one?

I bought what I thought was a really nice stir/hotplate from china. all digital and pretty. bad move. it melted (literally). so now I have a bland
ole analog one. but it is just great. heats to 550C and has a ceramic chemical proof heating surface that does not get all brown and disgusting. and
I paid about half the price of a reliable digital one with poorer specs. very pleased
