Glass burner
Hello,
I'm I want to start ampouling some samples with this glass burner.
But I don't have any instructions and also can't find anything on the internet.
Could you please teach me at least the basics how to connect it with LPG bomb and how to use it ?
Thanks a lot.
PS:this maybe should be in beginnings, sorry if its in wrong forum.

Hi
It seems you plan to kill the fly with a cannon...
That torch is for heavy glass works. May be you can reduce oxygen and propane flows in order to get a small flame.
Your torch has additional inputs to jump to powerful flames.
Just look at labeling. Most tell which input is for oxygen and which for propane.
Some torchs are for natural gas (methane) and others for liquified gas (propane). The difference lays in tips, with different bore hole.
In case no labeling, feed propane to yellow-labeled stopcock and oxygen to the blue-labeled one.
Open only the propane flow and light it. You will get a fuliginous flame. Then open slowly the oxygen feed. You will see a dart-shaped flame, clearer
and hotter.
If gases mixture are not optimum, you can get some detonation but don't fear, will not explode. Check web site of American Scientific Glassblower
Association and youtube glassworkers demos.
And this great place: http://www.ilpi.com/glassblowing/index.html

Thanks, you helped me a lot.
I know it's "a little" bigger than I need, I bought it for 1€ from one company which doesn't need it anymore so thats a good deal .

A super deal...
So you can spend a little more in a hand torch!
Good luck!
