Proposed Web Application
Imagine a website where you can enter a list of reagents and get back a list of what can be made with it.
It would have three basic audiences:
1. The person who wants to make something.
2. The person who wants to share the knowledge
3. The merchant who would sell the materials.
Enter Hydrochloric Acid and Calcium Hypochlorite and you would be given
Elemental Chlorine
A warning about it.
And presumably, sponsors offers to sell both items
An apocryphal message about the DEA and DHS getting notified would help keep the rifraff away.
Does something like this now exist?

I often think of doing a similar website where you can stick in the ingredients you have and it pops up a list of the meals you can make.
Unlikely that the same for Chemistry would attract any $.
The market is too small, unless all those 'Special People' out there in Chem Research are really that desperate for ideas.
Rethink: you may be onto something Big !

The culinary one already exists.
The chemistry one would be useful for a certain competition....

Indeed, the competition...
I've heard this idea suggested a few times, and suggested something simmilar myself multiple times. Unfortunately, as with most projects, if you want
it to exist you'll have to do the hard work yourself. But it's a fine idea if you can pull off the graphics, coding, and a good deal of content.
