Over pressure calculations
I am not sure if this should be posted in energetic materials, if so let me know.
I am trying to work out over pressure calculations using the formula: Δp=2410(M/V)^0.72 m=total mass of energetic materials, using RE factor to
determine mass prior to calculation, & V = Volume of area effected
the formula is called "Weibull's formula"
example: for 1kg TNT in a 10m x 10m x 10m box
Δp=2410(1/1000)^0.72
Δp=2410(0.001)^0.72
Δp=2410(0.0069183097)
Δp=16.6731263991 PSIG @ 10m from blast origin
I don't know if that's right, but it seems very high (that's as about the PSIG over pressure needed to destroy non-reinforced concrete walls, from
over pressure alone)
I am known as Napalm to my friends, because once i stick you you, you cant get me to stop until i have talked your ear off (or burned it off, which is
actually more likely)
