Vacuum for a Laboy Advanced Distillery Kit

Hello:

I have had my Laboy advanced distillery kit for some time now and have done some pretty neat things... simply put, I love it. But it's time to upgrade boil solutions.

What type of vacuum should I use for this? I'm looking for something telfon coated because I'll be distilling nitric acid sometimes. I have no idea what type/size vacuum I can or should use. What would be the maximum pressure I could safely use on this kit?

It's pretty nice glass all around. I've been very impressed so far.

Any vacuum will help, but I would prefer one that can pull down to within several mmHg of full vacuum. I think my dad has one that can reach 40 µHg, which he uses for purging air conditioners.

Also, vacuum cold traps are used to capture stuff before going into the vacuum. I don't think you will find one cheap that will meeting your requirements, so you have to protect it from your reaction. Typically, you would also neutralize the vapor using a base bath as well, before passing them onto the pump.

Aspirators work well for vacuum distillation of corrosive compounds.

As below, so above.
