Can't see the pictures
I am unable to see embedded pics in any of the posts, and I'm wondering if it's just me, or another problem. In place of the pic I usually see a
"picture goes here" icon, and sometimes a link, which sometimes works. For example, in garage chemists' (most excellent) post on SO3 in
Prepublication, all I see instead of the picture is this:
[pic icon] http://img505.imageshack.us/my.php?image=so3aufbau7ks.jpg
I can click on the link and then see the pic in another browser instantiation.
I'm using a more or less standard Windows XP setup with an IE browser. Has anyone else encountered this problem, and if so, are there any fixes?
(I'll bet I have a setting wrong.)Thanks.

I see the pictures just fine. The problem seems to be at your end.
Try another browser. This way you will at least know if it is an IE-specific problem. Might I suggest firefox?

Unfortunately another browser is not an option as the computer I use belongs to The Man. I'm assuming it is an IE compatibility problem, the question
is which side of the server. Is anyone else using IE, and do you have the same problem?

Thanks, Madandcrazy, I found it. In case anyone else ever has the same problem, I changed the IE setting in Tools-Security-Custom Level-Display Mixed
Content to "Enable." Sheesh.
