The problem with the oxalate is that i don't have any acces to it, i've seen a couple of attempts of making it, by refluxing nitric acid with sugar,
but I think that it is not very reliable...

I found oxalic acid to be readily available at boating stores (specifically West Marine), as a wood bleach.

Ya, and I've seen it at Home Depot too, I think oxalic acid is one of the chemicals that is a lot cheaper to buy than to make it.
Here, buy oxalic acid, I'm not sure if they will ship to Spain though. $9.80 for 2 pounds, not bad.

Iron benzoate is insoluble in water and can be easily prepared from solue iron salt and sodium benzoate.
It also produces benzophenone by pyrolysis.
