Sources for Chemical Reagents in Canada
Hey guys,
I am a chemistry enthusiast living in Canada, and for all my purchases to date I have used prolabscientific.com and newhorizonsscientific.ca as
chemical sources. I was wondering if any Canadian members could help me in noting other sources as I find the aforementioned sites somewhat limited
and expensive (but top quality). Are there any other useful online chemical suppliers in Canada?

eBay, Elemental Ecientific... HMS Beagle... Depends what you are looking for. By UTFSE you can find a few other useful threads I am sure.

They are not located in Canada Mail. It seams our supplier list is very short here in Canada comparated to other countries.
I never asked for this.

They ship internationally. Some items are not available due to HAZMAT issues- otherwise all of the companies I mentioned above do business with
Canadians. Check with them first if course, but I have dealt with all the above mentioned, no problem! Not everything can be sent via regular post
mind you...
Even when ordering from those companies some things are Not sent via Canada Post due to postal restrictions. They tend to use DHL, DICOM, FedEx, etc

From my experience with HMS Beagle, they do not seem to be able to ship even mildly "hazardous" chemicals to Canada. I sent a message to Elemental
Scientific regarding their shipping to Canada, but I got a prompt reply that the only way I could order from them was to ship it to a friend in the
states, then pick it up. I am thinking of a source within Canada (there don't seem to be many) that would be able to ship a relatively wide variety of
reagents without problem. I have searched the forum, but the only Canadian sources I find mentioned are, the previously mentioned, Prolabscientific
and NewHorizons. Any other suggestions? It seems that I may have to stick with Prolab after all. Thanks for the replys

Damn, elemental used to ship to Canada.....
Perhaps a mail-forwarding service like earthclassmail.com would work here?

Yea, alphachem is a great option. Found them just a little bit ago and realized that their warehouse was right near my area! They don't display prices
on their website, you need to request a quote, and they are somewhat pricey. However, their selection is unbelievable and quality is great.

Does anyone ordered from alphachem online? I mean without driving to the warehouse? How was it?
I never asked for this.
