Microscale spinning band columns

I apologize if this has been covered before. I did UTFSE but found little. Does anyone know of any supplier besides Ace Glass that sells microscale spinning band columns?

I, <em>personally</em>, appreciate your effort in <a href="search.php?token=&srchtxt=spinning+band&srchfield=body&srchuname=&f%5B%5D=all&srchfrom=0&searchsubmit=Search">searchi ng</a> before starting a new topic. Thank you.

I thought Kontes used to make them, which became Kimble-Kontes? I think they're now called Kimble-Chase</a>, or just <a href="http://www.chasescientific.com/" target="_blank">Chase Scientific</a> <img src="../scipics/_ext.png" />. I can't seem to find them in the catalog now. Perhaps <a href="http://www.adamschittenden.com/" target="_blank">Adams & Chittenden</a> <img src="../scipics/_ext.png" /> is capable of making them. Unfortunately, the microscale <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spinning_band_distillation" target="_blank">spinning band</a> <img src="../scipics/_wiki.png" /> columns seem to be quite difficult to come by, and quite expensive. Over the years I've only seen a handful of them pass through eBay, and was always outbid. You could try hitting up <strong>Dr.Bob</strong> in the <strong><a href="viewthread.php?tid=15667">Science equipment looking for a home</a></strong> thread (he'll probably find this post first, though). I also recommend keeping an eye on the seller <a href="http://www.ebay.com/sch/papamed4/m.html?_nkw=&_armrs=1&_from=&_ipg=&_trksid=p3686" target="_blank">papamed4</a> <img src="../scipics/_ext.png" /> on the U.S. eBay site (he's probably the most likely to list something like that). Hope this helps; good luck!

[edit]
I feel like a broken record when I promote papamed4 on eBay.com. Just to be clear, I have no association with him beyond being a repeat customer. Sorry for shamelessly promoting on his behalf, but he's always got great glassware, and is a professional and courteous seller. I've only ever had one problem in my many transactions with him (my asshat postal worker bent a box and broke a low-temp. glass thermometer), and he graciously sent me a similar item free of charge (strapped to a bar of solid wood)! :D

I found a supplier! :)

However, I don't really know if they are amateur-friendly yet. You also need a Hickman-Hinkle still with a longer stem to accommodate the band.
