glycerin question

I have been trying to find a source for glycerin, and came across fleet enema's which contain glycerin.

These even come in little droppers, which is great for my purpose.

I misread the label (or didn't read, I don't remember) and thought they were just water and glycerin.

They also contain edetate disodium, however. Will the disodium EDTA prevent nitration? The reaction seemed to have failed, and this is the only reason I can think of.

Thanks

You should be able to buy glycerin pure in many places, drug store, soap shops, biodiesel plants, etc.

Something as 'innocuous' as glycerine should be available in all pharmacies . . .
I find I usually need a desiccant (H2SO4) to get it near anydrous!

Glycerine is used for all sorts of things, try home brew shops, it is often used for sweetening, adding mouth feel to home made wines.

Do you have a Walmart near you? I've bought it there for about $4 for 8 ounces. This isn't the exact product, but I know my local stores in northern California carry it:

I've also found it in Walgreens, Rite-Aid, and CVS. Try near the first-aid supplies first, next to IPA and H2O2. If not there, you'll find it near hand lotion and cosmetics. In Walgrrens, it's also found near the "ethnic" products (their words, not mine): the products that are imported from Mexico and Europe, such as Panadol.

What state do you live in?
