Viscometers: basics?

Pardon the late night post(and any odd usages that accompany such) But after taking a look at a few sites I noticed that glass viscometer tubes came in many sizes forms and in some with paperwork. Can anyone out there recommended a certain size/type or guidelines when looking at these? I thank you and wish you the happiest of Holidays.
