Benzoic acid from ethylbenzene

Hi!

I'm know you can get benzoic acid by oxidation of ethylbenzene with KMno4. I'm looking for other ways to do this and read that it is possible to use dilute nitric acid as an oxidizing agent.

Is it possible and what would be the reaction conditions?
