Balance Windshield

I am about to order a new balance that has readability to 1 miligram but unfortunately does not include a windshield.

a) How are they made, and is it feasible to build one yourself?

b) If you can build one, where would you begin?

Plexiglas my friend.
Just put that balance in a Plexiglas box, attach a few doors/windows, you're good to go.
Drill a few holes for the wires.

Unless you don't have the room to store it.

I wouldn't advise attaching anything to the balance that does look like any attachments are meant to be made, otherwise it could make measurements inaccurate.

That's how I'd go about it.

Currently in college, studying Computer Science. Missing my home laboratory, and all the fun things I got to do. Still trying to explore the outskirts of chemistry for curiosities sake.
