can you peroxidize anything
Can you peroxidize anything?
Sugar? Furan? Ethyl acetate? Ethylamine? glycerol? 1,3 butadiene? isobutene? Just a long list of things?
It brings up an other interesting question...
Urea and Acetone both have similar structures.
CH3-C-CH3
O
as opposed to
NH2-C-NH2
O
So I was wondering if twere possible to have a urea peroxide similar to acetone peroxide.
F. de Lalande and M. Prud'homme showed that a mixture of boric oxide and sodium chloride is decomposed in a stream of dry air or oxygen at a red heat
with the evolution of chlorine.
