chloramphenicol hemi succinate synthesis
i had synthesised chloramphenicol hemi succinate from chormaphenicol but getting poor yield and product was contaminated with raw material as well as
2 other impurity.
kindly suggest me the most possibility of impurity and which probably parameter affect the reaction.

Provide the references and/or the experimental, else there is no point in making guesses or giving obsolete suggestions.
The only suggestion for side products I can give without any of the required information is the obvious regioisomeric ester and the double succinate
ester.
PS: Please open referenceless threads only in the Beginnings section where I'm moving this.
