Toluene and other solvents in California

Does anyone know any OTC sources of toluene in California? Everything is banned either because idiots tried sniffing it or "evironmental health".

I have a bunch of toluene available I’m trying to sell.

You can find my post in the recent list of threads. For toluene, I’ve been offering people 1L for $15 and 1gal for $30. The price just keeps going down the more people buy. It’s ACS grade 99.90%. Plenty more available than this.

Wow. Too bad you’re not in Texas. Every lumber yard in the state and most hardware stores sell toluene by the gallon. About $18, a little less in some places, a little more in others.

You can’t claim you drank all day if you didn’t start early in the morning.

At least in the part of Texas where I lived, I was still only able to find toluene at certain Ace Hardware stores. Home Depot and Lowe’s didn’t carry it. It wasn’t exactly a breeze to find.

So I’d try Ace if you haven’t yet. They might still have it in California too. Then again, when I search their website, the only things that come up are xylene and the dreaded “Painter’s Solvent” that seems to be popping up more and more in place of pure solvents.
