Chemical supply house.

It has been mentioned, more than once, that a good business to begin would be a small chemical supply house.

However, to start an account, with the major chemical suppliers I am told you need many things, including proof of existing customers.

How does a legitimate supply house get started?

.....an intruiging question?

My best guess is that they don't. In fact there seems to be the opposite happening. The big ones are merging and there just don't seem to be any little ones (I have to admit I haven't bust a gut looking for small chem companies).

Email one and ask. The only way I can see it happening is if they buy their stock from fairly small companies who can't afford to be so fussy about whom they sell to. That means that, to cover their costs, they must be more expensive than the middle size companies. In that case the only reason I can see for them making any money is if they are really un-fussy about whom they sell to, or if they offer some other "value added" service. That service might well be a helpful attitude so they might answer your email.
(and calm down a bit, I didn't mean to upset anyone)
