Broke desiccator vacuum connector
So i managed to snap off the hose attachment. The joint for the valve unit is not 24* but smaller than 29* so I was thinking of making an adapter from
ptfe and using ordinary 24* shutoff valve.
Or are there other ideas?

My first instinct is to repair the broken piece, if possible, using epoxy resin.
Next I'd consider if a 29/42 adapter might fit. (the narrow end is about 24.8 mm diameter.
OR a one hole rubber bung.
Have you tried to get an 'original' replacement.?

Repaired glass is not reliable. No replacements available and its too small for 29*. I might consider making a solid plug from ptfe or silicone
rubber.

same thing happened to me recently...
I used a rubber bung with a hole in it and a ball valve with teflon tape, holds vacuum perfectly.

I'd look into some of the UV activated epoxy. I've used this stuff on lots of materials and it has worked really well. I would score and scratch the
surface of the glass around where the glue is going to go to give the epoxy something to grip to.
I've used a brand called "Bondic" and it worked really well. They say it's not a "glue" but I have used it as such on clear plastic things. I think
they say this b/c the UV light needs to contact the epoxy to harden and it can only do this on clear materials like polycarbonate, acrylic and glass.
BTW, you should post a pic, you will get much better answers to the problem.
