I need silica gel for isomerization. The specific paper does not state requirements for silica gel, so I wonder should I use ordinary(=cat litter) or
specific (for ex. silica gel 60) for the reaction.
The reaction is done in acetone solution.
Could the silical gel be used again, and could one actually store the gel under acetone for later use or should it cause issues?
