Test purity homemade KClO3

Currently I am making KClO3 (see www.metallab.net/KClO3.php#exp201101 ) and it seems to go well :)
As a purity test I do a flame test which detects even trace amounts of Na by ites yellow flame color. Miy recrystallized KClO3 fortunately does not show yellow flames, but more magenta / purplish like.

Is this correct ?

Well if KCl is what you started with, that purplish color argues nicely for K :)
