I may be wrong, but those just look like wide-mouth HDPE bottles with lids. I think these can be obtained almost anywhere. If shipping/transportation was an issue (as opposed to just being stored in your lab), perhaps taping on the lid would work.

I haven't seen any HDPE jars that are clear like this to enable viewing the contents from the outside. Some PP jars come close.

I was just going by your original link, which indicates they are HDPE. Also, the generated catalog page reports that they are translucent (not transparent), which to me, perhaps erroneously, that the condition of the bottle stored within can be seen. I think polypropylene would generally be useful, but I would only use PETE for innocuous stuff if spilled. This is said even though I seem to have the world's supply of empty PETE peanut butter jars!:D
