Sulfuric Acid In Canada?
Hey,
So, recently I've spent quite some time examining suppliers, searching for a suitable source of sulfuric acid (I don't require it to be concentrated,
nor pure, knowing that this is very easy to purify, and concentrate), satisfying the essential criterion of being relatively cheap. However, residing
in Canada, the hazmat fees associated with shipping are huge, ranging generally from $30- 45 on top of the existing price of the product! Very dissapointing. So, can any Canadian members advise me as to where I can attain
this? I was hoping that it might yet be a drain cleaner ingredient, but found no matches at many of my local hardware stores. Any help?

I will tell you the answer, search more. You can easily find sulfuric acid in more specialised hardware store like Rona or BMR. They are easy to spot
because they are the only drain opener with a plastic bag on them. When you see that, just check what is the contains of the bottle. Some have die and
other not. Sad but true, the sulfurique acid with die cost less... But you can find 96% sulfuric acid for 6$-12$ a liter.
Good luck!

It is by far easier to buy it. Smaller bottles may come below ADR so below hazmat.
