Chemicals from household sources

Many chemicals can be found in products available at the hardware store although not always in pure form and it is difficult to find the exact ingredients.

If I wanted to see if a certain product contained a desired chemical I would have to search for its MSDS sheet.

This website allows you to search for the desired chemical than brings a list of every product which contains it and what percent and the form of the product along with all the other chemicals.

http://householdproducts.nlm.nih.gov/index.htm

Just type in the chemical name in the quick search box.
Hope this helps!

This has already been mentioned a few times..

But thanks for the attempted contribution haha This actually reminded me it existed, and I'm sure a lot of the new people have just found out about it because of you so i guess this is good. :)
Seems like everything on SMDB has been mentioned at least once huh?

Oh also don't forget about the other Readily Available Chemical Website.. that one is a goodie and kinda related to this subject. Sorry to lazy to get the link :P
