Cheap Pool Chemicals
Pool chemicals are a staple for amateur chemists, but they can be expensive. Recently I found rarepoolparts.com; they sell discontinued/overstock pool chemicals at a deep discount and with free shipping (at least for me in the US). Their
inventory is constantly changing, but right now they have 3 lb of 92% sodium bisulfate for $2.11, 15 lb of 99% magnesium oxide for $0.57, and several
other chemicals of interest. When I first found them, they had sodium bromide for $0.96/lb, so it is worth checking the website every so often.

Oh right, I remember getting some of your sodium bromide in exchange for some (I think) pewter metal that I mailed you. I used that to make about 50
mL of elemental bromine, and still have a whole bunch left. Good times!
The first step in the process of learning something is admitting that you don't know it already.
