Does anybody here have any experience with fusing transition metal oxides with KHSO4? In particular TiO2
which is only solvable in boiling concentrated sulfuric acid (and possibly concoctions with HF). I haven't got any conc. sulfuric (and dread HF) but I
know fusing TiO2with K bisulfate is used to dissolve the Ti as TiOSO4.
In particular what oxide/bisulfate ratio would be desirable? I'm looking at dissolving some 6 g of titanox this way.
