Proper type of paper for indicator strips
Sorry if this topic already exists, I didn't find any existing thread...
What kind of paper is ideal to use for making test indicator strips? (e.g. turmeric paper, litmus paper, etc.)
I read one prep for turmeric paper that specified unsized paper. Checking a local art supply store, I can't find anything unsized. I am trying
filter paper now, will see how well it works, but I am interested in any advice.

AFAIK unsized paper is exactly what filter paper is made from. I'm guessing that filter paper is a matte of pure cellulose.
That's what I used for making lead acetate paper for the detection of sulfide, reported in another thread.
