The diphenylamine is an extremely efficient stabilizer for ethers like diethyl ether and tetrahydrofuran against peroxide formation.
A few ppm are enough, it is more effieient than most other stabilizers.
I could use some of it...
You can also make some interesting dyes from diphenylamine, although that requires lots of other chemicals.
From hexanediamine, you can make nylon, as said. You need to form the salt with adipic acid and then induce polycondensation by heating under vacuum
to split off water.
Or make nylon directly at room temperature by condensing adipoyl dichloride with the 1,6-hexanediamine as shown in the nylon-thread demonstration.
