I got some information about synthesizing Sodium sarcosinate from formaldehyde, sodium cyanide and methyl amin. However, I cannot find any information
regarding such parameters as any involvement of catalyst, reaction temperature, pressure. etc.
Anybody out there knows these parameters.

Where {Na|K} sarcosinate is used?
It is used in

production of creatine production. Creatine is a natural substance normally found in muscles, which is consumed during work out. Now it is
synthetically produced. Although I found a great deal of information about its manufacture. I could not find any information regarding process
parameters.
Forgot to add that creatine used by body builders.

Wanna get tall and strong?
Yeah

Not only tall and strong but also I like sports and chemistry. So I thought if I can do some other things in chemistry, why not synthesize creatine
and use it my sports activities.

IIRC also handy for masking the effects of flushing your system before a drugs test.
Flushing with water lowers levels in urine.vulture - 24-8-2003 at 12:13
You're going to consume it?
A homemade substance with the following precursors:
- sodium cyanide
- methylamine
- formaldehyde
all toxic?
You'd better extract and wash your product VERY thoroughly.Blind Angel - 24-8-2003 at 13:15
didn't we wanted to make DNP not so long ago?akinmad - 24-8-2003 at 14:10

You may bet on it!...

wow, you must be mad!!!
any chemical reaction will produce side products, and even if they are minute they still may have a high level of toxicity!! Wouldnt try this myself,
consuming chemicals you have created, as you never know the side products! This is not as straightforward as NaOH and HCl - and even in that case i
wouldnt consume it, you simply dont know what kind of other salts are produced!
Always wondered, how do those drug makers of ecstasy etc dare it? i would never try, once again for the same reason! am I overly cautious?
Quite Mad

Any way! You know this is science madness.
And all organic chemistry reactions have some risks in it.
